I am always tempted on days like these to weep for humanity.  Because I know tragedies like the Boston bombing are only a drop of water in the never-ending tidal wave of human violence, because of the inevitable pain and suffering that follows….

It uplifts me to remember that humanity has many faces.  There are those who seek destruction.  But most people seek creation.  The people who ran toward, not away, from those in the blast to offer a hand, those who are offering their homes to the displaced, those who are donating blood.  Most people are helpers.

Because Pokemon shouldn’t force you to pick a gender you may not associate with. 

Oh, just STOP WITH THIS. Do you know how complicated it would be if the game designers had to account for all of the different identity options and every single person’s beliefs or lifestyles? What would the character even look like? Would you have to design your own? What if you wear a hijab? What if you’re in a wheelchair? What if you’re black? There are 1000000 factors where people aren’t properly represented in ANY game. I’ve NEVER played as a character that looks like me or represents me properly, unless it’s a game with extensive customization. Wanna know why? When you’re playing, it doesn’t have to represent YOU directly. I’ve played as a male and female multiple times and I identify as pan-gendered. It’s roleplaying. The character doesn’t physically resemble MOST of the people who play. Grow the fuck up, or go to school for game development and make a difference instead of whining on Tumblr and demonizing fucking Pokemon.

Pokemon needs to Shrek it’s privileges before I call the NAAShrekC on them. I am offended sir
